We are in receipt of your favour No. 42859/1915 of
the 22nd instant, and in terms of your request we have pleasure
in enclosing the following original documents:-
Letter from the Dresdner Bank, Hamburg, dated 16th July, 1914,
enclosing the bill drawn by Hugo C„A, Fromm p. 4297,12,0 on Hugo C.A. From, Hongkong. This is to prove that the bill was negotiated before the outbreak of War,
Letter No. 15/987 dated 5th June,1915, from our Hongkong Branch
intimating that the sum of $181 had been received from the liquidaters of Hugo 6,A, Fromm to cover the expenses of trans-shipment,
Letter No. 15/1008 dated 19th July, 1915, from our Hongkong Branch embodying copy of a communication received from Messrs. Lowe, Bingham à Matthews, the liquidators of Hugo C.A. Tromm,
It seems to us that if you withhold entry to these
goods, the only people to suffer will be the orediters in
Hongkong for whose benefit the gooda will presumably be sold
in the Celony.
As to the bill for £59, 11, 8 drawn by Lawn Brothers
& Co., Antwerp, we attach original letter from the firm dated
